Comparison of CE/FFP2 standard and American NIOSH N95 standard.
Comparison of CE/FFP2 standard and American NIOSH N95 standard.
Comparison of FFP2 and N95
1. FFP standard: European standard for respiratory protection. The following are the specific parameters of the standard:
CE149: 2001 test, test model: TSI8130
Test substance: NOCL & DOP Particle size: 0.3um Test flow rate: 95L / MiN
Grade: penetration permeability capture resistance resistance
FFP1 20% ≥80% 21MM H20
FFP2 6% ≥94% 24MM H20
FFP3 1% ≥99% 30MM H20
2. N standard: American standard for respiratory protection. The following are the specific parameters of the standard:
NIOSH standard test model: TSI8130
Test substance: Nacl Particle size: 0.3um Test flow rate: 85L / MiN
Grade: penetration penetration resistance
N95 5% ≥95% 35MM H20
N99 1% ≥99% 35MM H20
N100 0.03% ≥99.99% 35MM H20
Remarks: Nac: Sodium chloride (salt) DOP: Paraffin oil
Both tests use the same machine, using Nacl as the test pollutant, and the mixed DOP represents protection against oily dust.
In the FFP2 standard, the dust collection rate of the mask is greater than 94% and less than one percentage point of the N95 capture rate. However, the minute air flow rate during the test is different.
The European standard is 95 liters / minute. The American standard is 85 liters / minute. At the same time, the resistance value represents the degree of obstruction of breathing by the mask when the mask is used. The data shows that the FFP2 standard is more comfortable than the N95 standard.
